The 2011 school year saw the completion of our second LEED certified house.
We achieved a Silver rating by concentrating on using all Idaho lumber, building a superinsulated, airtight 8" wall assembly with Energy Heel trusses, installing a state of the art Mini-Split HCVA/HRV heat-pump, and using a 98% effecient Eternal water heater.
Thank you to all of our industry partners who helped make this project a success.
We are still extremely proud of the 2010 LEED Gold certification of the 2009/10 house at 1627 Watersilk - the first student built LEED home in the country. It is also the first EPA Indoor Air Plus certified building in the state of Idaho.
This house has received the
City of Boise's "Building Excellence Award"
for new Green Residential construciton.

We have developed a quick Energy Performance Guide, based on the HERS rating, that will be posted in each house we complete. Below is the prototype for 1635 Watersilk.
